What is it?

The Global Recycled Standard (GRS 4.0) and Recycled Claim Standard (RCS 2.0) are recycled-content traceability standards owned by Textile Exchange. RCS tracks only the recycled-content chain, while GRS adds social, environmental and chemical requirements on top.

What it covers

The Scope Certificate covers knitting, dyeing, finishing, pre-treatment, preparatory, spinning and trading, and is issued to two facilities: the main site (233. Sok. No: 35/1 — knitting, dyeing, finishing, pre-treatment, preparatory, trading) and a separately TE-identified spinning facility (No: 39/2 — TE-00117311). The appendix lists every certified fabric composition individually; recycled content reaches 100% post-consumer rPET, and each line carries a GRS, RCS 100 or RCS Blended label grade. The weight of the scope is rPET, but recycled polyamide (nylon) and cotton and viscose blends are also covered. It was audited by Control Union under IOAS accreditation.

Why it matters

It is independent chain-of-custody proof for recycled-polyester (rPET) claims. A Transaction Certificate (TC) is what proves a specific shipment is certified.

Frequently asked questions

Your scope certificate expires on 3 October 2026 — what happens if my order or shipment runs past that date?

Our scope certificate CU860948MUL-2025-00108468 is valid from 4 October 2025 to 3 October 2026. Textile Exchange scope certificates are issued for a maximum of one year, and a new one follows only after a recertification audit. A Transaction Certificate — the document that proves a specific shipment is certified — can be issued only if a valid scope certificate covers the shipment date. You can check the current status yourself in Textile Exchange’s “Find a Certified Company” directory, which is the single official source for authenticating scope certificates.

Your certificate carries both GRS and RCS — which one applies to which fabric, and how high can the recycled content go?

The certificate covers GRS 4.0 together with RCS 2.0. RCS tracks only the recycled-content chain; GRS adds social, environmental and chemical requirements on top. Which one applies is decided per fabric: the appendix lists every certified fabric composition individually, and each line is marked GRS, RCS 100 or RCS Blended. Recycled content reaches 100% post-consumer rPET; the weight of the scope is rPET, but recycled polyamide plus cotton and viscose blends are also covered. A Scope Certificate shows what can be produced as certified — a Transaction Certificate (TC) is what proves a specific shipment is certified.

Your scope certificate shows two facilities and two separate TE IDs (TE-00108513 · TE-00117311) — what does that mean?

The certificate is issued to two facilities. The main site (233. Sok. No: 35/1 · TE-00108513) covers knitting, dyeing, finishing, pre-treatment, preparatory and trading; the separately identified spinning facility (No: 39/2 · TE-00117311) covers spinning. Textile Exchange assigns its own ID to each certified site. Both sit on the same certificate, under licence CB-CUT-860948, audited by Control Union under IOAS accreditation.
