What is it?

ISO 50001 is the international energy-management standard for systematically measuring, monitoring and improving an organization’s energy performance — consumption, efficiency and use. It is built on an energy baseline (EnB) and energy performance indicators (EnPIs).

What it covers

The scope covers polyester fabric knitting and dyeing. The certificate is issued by Avacert International under IAS accreditation (MSCB-301).

Why it matters

In a dye-house, energy is among the largest items in both cost and carbon footprint: stenters, steam boilers and HT dyeing machines demand continuous heat. This certificate independently confirms that consumption is managed through a measured system rather than estimated.

Frequently asked questions

Was your ISO 50001 certificate issued by a different body than your other ISO certificates — why is the accreditation number different?

Yes. The ISO 50001 certificate (ENMS-20.26/08653-0702) was issued by Avacert International under IAS accreditation MSCB-301. The other four ISO certificates come from IQR International: 9001, 14001 and 45001 carry IAS MSCB-135, while the ISO 10002 certificate bears no accreditation mark. The numbers differ because the certification bodies differ — IAS assigns each certification body it accredits its own MSCB number.

Does your ISO 50001 certificate include product-level energy data or a carbon footprint calculation for our carbon reporting?

No. The ISO 50001 certificate (ENMS-20.26/08653-0702, valid to 22.06.2027) shows that an audited energy-management system is in place, with a scope of polyester fabric knitting and dyeing. The standard operates at facility level, built on an energy baseline (EnB) and energy performance indicators (EnPIs). A per-product energy figure or a product carbon footprint — the latter calculated under a separate standard such as ISO 14067 — is a separate exercise and is not part of this certificate.

Why does your ISO 50001 certificate appear to be valid for only one year (23.06.2026 to 22.06.2027)?

The certificate was issued on 23.06.2026 and runs to 22.06.2027, while the document also states a certification period of three years. Both are correct: ISO certification runs on a three-year cycle, whereas the certificate itself is reissued at surveillance audits — so the printed validity date reflects the current issue of the document rather than the length of the cycle. ISO 50001 is the newest of our five ISO certificates, first certified on 23.06.2026.
