Formula

This is a three-step decision table rather than a formula. STEP 1 — the base pick is read from part × use: body → match: bird’s-eye mesh · training: dry-fit · corporate: interlock; side panel/back → match and training: sports net · corporate: bird’s-eye mesh; collar → match: jacquard piqué · training and corporate: piqué; lining → breathable micro mesh. STEP 2 — surface work: choosing jacquard moves the motif into the knit (body/panel: jacquard mesh, collar: jacquard piqué); choosing sublimation where the base is an open net moves the print to a closed face (bird’s-eye mesh), because the motif would break along every hole, and the sports net stays as the alternative vent panel. STEP 3 — stretch: choosing elastane switches to the sibling that exists as its own catalogue item (interlock → stretch interlock, piqué → piqué with elastane, dry-fit → jersey with elastane); bird’s-eye, sports net and jacquard mesh have no separate card because the elastane version sits inside the same card (~8–12% elastane). Weight windows are read from the product catalogue; the tool invents no numbers of its own.

Worked example

Input: side panel · match kit · sublimation print · mechanical stretch. Step 1 gives the base as sports net (100–170 g/m²). Step 2 sees sublimation and finds the base is an open net → the print moves to bird’s-eye mesh (120–200 g/m²) and the sports net stays as the alternative. Step 3 makes no swap for mechanical stretch. Output: “Bird’s-eye Mesh · 120–200 g/m² · alternative: Sports Net 100–170 g/m²”.

What GSM should a jersey fabric be?

The part decides. A match jersey body runs 120–200 g/m² in bird’s-eye mesh or 130–220 g/m² in dry-fit; side panels and back take 100–170 g/m² sports net; a training top takes 80–260 g/m² interlock; corporate and school kit runs 120–200 or 150–280 g/m²; linings 70–130 g/m². This tool narrows the band from your selections.

Which fabric for sublimation printing?

Closed, flat faces. Print sharpness follows how flat the face is: closed faces such as interlock and bird’s-eye mesh carry the crispest report, while on an open net the motif breaks along every hole. So when sublimation is chosen for a part that would otherwise take an open net, the tool moves the print to a closed face and keeps the net as the alternative vent panel.

Where do kappa, damla and kaz ayağı appear here?

The Turkish market names show in the output in brackets: kaz ayağı = bird’s-eye mesh, damla = sports net. Kappa is a family rather than one item — its single-bed leg is microfiber jersey and its double-bed leg is polyester interlock; the tool names whichever base it recommends.

Is the result binding?

No, it is a selection suggestion. The real decision is made in the sampling round: the weight window narrows with cylinder diameter, yarn and finish, and opacity under tension is measured separately. The bands returned are our published catalogue windows, not an order commitment.
