50/72 Micro Textured Yarn

50/72 Micro Textured Yarn — Lingerie/innerwear · fine jersey · chiffon/georgette · peach-skin base cloth. Very soft, silky drape; high surface area.
The lightest member of the true microfilament band: 50 denier across 72 filaments leaves roughly 0.69 denier on each — well below the micro threshold of about 1.0 dpf. That fineness multiplies surface area, giving a silky, fluid fabric with high cover. The price is paid in the dyehouse: reaching the same shade depth takes more dyestuff and more careful reductive clearing. It shares the 50-denier technical band (3.6–4.2 cN/dtex), but it is not the same yarn as 50/36 in the hand — the table is identical, the fabric is not.
