Manufacturing Programme

Polyester Piqué Fabric Manufacturer

Fersan Tekstil is a vertically integrated polyester knitted fabric manufacturer in Çorlu, Türkiye — the piqué programme’s knit-tuck cells are knitted on our own machines and dyed in the same HT dyehouse; ~750 tonnes a month since 1982.

Piqué is known for the honeycomb cells that knit and tuck stitches open across its surface: the raised texture forms air channels and the cloth stands structured — which is what keeps a polo collar sitting up. The polyester base adds moisture management, shape retention through washing and sublimation suitability. Our programme runs from classic piqué to a body-skimming elastane version, fine-celled mini piqué and jacquard piqué that knits the motif into the cloth.

The textured face is also a strong branding ground: embroidery and logo applications sit cleanly on piqué. We produce for polo and corporate-promotional wear for brands and garment makers across Western Europe, Russia and the CIS, and routinely produce to the test standards of European sports and apparel brands. The ordering terms below are the same figures we quote.

Piqué structures we manufacture in this programme

Polyester Piqué

Piqué

170–240 g/m²

In this application
The classic polo ground: honeycomb cells open air channels and the cloth holds its shape through washing.
Composition
100% polyester (typical); microfilament yarn for sublimation lustre.

Polyester Piqué with Elastane

Piqué + elastane

180–240 g/m²

In this application
Piqué with stretch and recovery added; slim-fit polos and uniform tops that need movement.
Composition
~94–96% polyester / 4–6% elastane (spandex); most commonly ~5%.

Mini Piqué

Fine-gauge piqué

165–200 g/m²

In this application
A fine-celled, silkier face — the refined, light stance of premium and summer polos.
Composition
100% polyester (typical); fine/microfilament yarn common in golf/sublimation.

Jacquard Piqué

Jacquard piqué

180–260 g/m²

In this application
Pattern by knitting, not printing: club and collection polos, a premium uniform ground.
Composition
100% polyester; a ~95/5 elastane variant exists for patterned stretch qualities.

Your fabric development partner

In piqué, cell size, tightness and hand are engineered to your collection; corporate colours are approved via lab-dip, and shape retention, fastness and pilling are documented per order with test reports. For uniform programmes, antimicrobial finishes and UV protection (UPF) for outdoor use are applied on request and reported. Quotation requests are answered within 2 business days.

Frequently asked questions

What is your minimum order (MOQ) for polyester piqué?

We work in the 500–1,000 kg per colour range; the exact figure is confirmed with your quotation depending on the cell construction. In-season repeat orders are planned on the same recipe.

What are your lead time and delivery terms?

Typical lead time is 3–4 weeks from order confirmation to dispatch; we work EXW, FOB or DAP. Quotation requests are answered within 2 business days.

How does piqué perform under embroidery and logos?

The structured, upright piqué ground carries embroidery well: the cell texture hides needle marks and edges sit without puckering. In jacquard piqué the motif is knitted in — logo areas can be worked print-free and permanently.

Is it suitable for sublimation printing, and which variant should I choose?

Polyester piqué takes sublimation well; the crispest detail comes on fine-celled mini piqué, while classic piqué gives a livelier surface character through its cell texture. We tune heat-setting parameters together with your printer’s process.

How do you keep colour continuity lot to lot in corporate uniforms?

The colour recipe is fixed at first lab-dip approval; later lots are dyed on the same recipe and the same dyehouse process, with shade and fastness checks reported before dispatch. That is the backbone of long-running uniform programmes.
