Chemically-Regenerated (“Refiber”) Polyester

Chemically-Regenerated (“Refiber”) Polyester — Premium circular-fashion garments · performance/outdoor wear · take-back/closed-loop collections. Unlike mechanical rPET, virgin-equivalent quality from colored/blended waste; genuine textile-to-textile circularity.
Chemically regenerated polyester closes the gap between mechanical rPET and virgin by a measurable margin: tenacity of 3.0–3.8 cN/dtex sits above rPET’s 2.7–3.7 and just below virgin’s 3.6–4.5. The reason is the process — depolymerisation breaks PET back to monomer and repolymerisation re-extends the chain, so the loss of intrinsic viscosity is compensated. Being able to process coloured and mixed waste is the other thing the mechanical route cannot do. Production covers 50, 75 and 100 denier; 150 denier is not available in this family. It is the yarn for circular and closed-loop collections that need a recycled claim without giving up performance.
