Manufacturing Programme
Basketball Jersey Fabric Manufacturer — Türkiye
Fersan Tekstil is a vertically integrated polyester knitted fabric manufacturer in Çorlu, Türkiye; in the basketball programme two conditions set the fabric — a sleeveless cut and indoor court heat — inside ~1,350 tonnes a month since 1982.

A basketball jersey differs from a football shirt on two counts. First, the sleeveless cut: the fabric sits directly on skin at the shoulder and underarm, so the hand of the hole edge matters as much as the hole size. Second, the indoor climate — there is no wind, and cooling comes only from the fabric’s airflow and moisture transport.
The programme answers both, layer by layer: open sports net for maximum airflow across the body, dot-textured bird’s-eye where opacity is needed, jacquard mesh for zoned ventilation, and moisture-wicking dry-fit where sublimation printing needs a flat field. Shorts and warm-up tops come from the same card.

Your fabric development partner
Weight, hole density and print surface are tuned to your team programme, and colours are approved by lab dip. A sleeveless cut foregrounds underarm rub fastness and binding durability — we agree which thresholds get reported. Quotation requests are answered within 2 business days.

Frequently asked questions
What weight should a basketball jersey be?
The typical indoor band is 110–200 g/m²: body nets sit at the low end, dot-textured and dry-fit structures at the high end. Exact weight is shown per fabric by the catalogue band and confirmed by the approved sample.
Which fabric suits sublimation printing?
All 100% polyester structures take sublimation; because print clarity needs a flat field, dry-fit and microfiber are preferred — on a coarse open net the motif breaks at the hole edges.
Does a sleeveless cut cause underarm problems?
Not when fabric and binding are set correctly. Rub fastness and pilling are critical in that zone, so they are tested and reported per order.
What are the minimum order and lead time?
500–1,000 kg per colour, typically 3–4 weeks from order confirmation to dispatch. We work EXW, FOB or DAP.
Do you make recycled jersey fabric?
Yes — the same structures are knitted from GRS-certified rPET yarn; see our recycled polyester manufacturing programme for detail.
