Manufacturing Programme

Mesh Lining Fabric Manufacturer — Türkiye

Fersan Tekstil is a vertically integrated polyester knitted fabric manufacturer in Çorlu, Türkiye; in the lining programme the fabric’s job is the opposite of the shell’s — to carry without being seen — inside ~1,350 tonnes a month since 1982.

Lining is the least discussed layer of a garment and the one most in contact with skin. A good mesh lining answers two opposing demands at once: open enough to pass air and moisture, closed enough to cover. That balance is not set by hole size alone but by hole size and weight together; this programme works in that window, from an 80 g/m² tulle to a 130 g/m² micro mesh.

Fastness matters more in a lining than in a shell: this is the surface that meets wet skin, chlorine and salt, and if it bleeds the complaint is written against the garment, not the lining. So lining lots are reported for fastness and dimensional stability with the same rigour as face fabrics.

Structures we knit in the lining programme

Breathable Micro Mesh (lining)

Breathable micro mesh (lining)

70–130 g/m²

In this application
The backbone: a fine, densely pored micro mesh at 70–130 g/m² — the most common lightweight lining.
Composition
100% polyester or, for light stretch, ~90–95% PES / 5–10% elastane; mostly microfilament polyester.

Tulle / Fine Net

Tulle / fine net

60–110 g/m²

In this application
Warp-knit tulle: a very light lining that will not ladder or curl, where sheerness is accepted.
Composition
100% polyester (PES); knitted from fine filament yarn, with no elastane for stretch (an optional elastane variant is a separate construction).

Athletic Mesh (Raschel)

Athletic mesh (warp knit)

160–230 g/m²

In this application
Warp-knit net: more structured than tulle — a durable lining for panels and vent zones.
Composition
100% polyester (PES); elastane-free mechanical give. A ~88–92% PES / 8–12% elastane variant can be knitted for light recovery when needed.

Microfiber Polyester Knit

Microfiber polyester knit

85–180 g/m²

In this application
Microfiber fineness: soft hand and high cover — the most comfortable end of a skin-side lining.
Composition
100% polyester microfiber — filament fineness below 1 denier (microdenier, ~0.5 dpf); far finer than standard PES (1.5–4 dpf).

Bird’s-eye Mesh (mock mesh)

Bird’s-eye mesh (mock mesh)

120–200 g/m²

In this application
Dot-textured mesh: the middle answer between lining and face fabric, with higher opacity.
Composition
100% polyester (typical); a ~90–92% PES / 8–10% elastane version exists for stretch.

Weight windows come from catalogue data; final specs are confirmed on a sample.

Cover, slip and weight are tuned to your garment, and colours are approved by lab dip. Swim linings foreground chlorine and salt fastness; jacket linings foreground slip and snag resistance — we agree which thresholds get reported. Quotation requests are answered within 2 business days.

Frequently asked questions

What weight is a mesh lining?

The typical lining window is 70–130 g/m²; the low end is finer and sheerer, the high end more opaque. Exact weight is shown per fabric by the catalogue band and confirmed by the approved sample at quotation.

Which fabric suits a swimwear lining?

Swim linings use a fine, fast-drying mesh resistant to chlorine and salt; an elastane version works for body-following cuts. Chlorine fastness is tested and reported per order.

What is the minimum order for lining fabric?

500–1,000 kg per colour, varying by fabric. Trial yardage for development projects is discussed separately.

Will the lining stain the face fabric?

Not in a polyester lining that has been correctly washed and reductively cleared. Lining passes the same fastness discipline as the face fabric here; rub and perspiration fastness are reported per order.

Do you make recycled lining?

Yes — the same lining structures can be knitted from GRS-certified rPET yarn; see our recycled polyester manufacturing programme for detail.
